Red Cross Youth Council goes to Cottolengo Philippines

I am so proud of my RCYC kiddos because they were able to conduct so many community services this year, one of which is the Basic First Aid Training for the house parents of Cottolengo Filipino.

Cottolengo Filipino - home for abandoned, disabled children. It is a private non-stock, non-profit religious and non-government organization licensed and accredited by the DSWD. It is owned and managed by the Local Superior of the Sons of Divine Providence congregation founded by Saint Luigi Orione, an apostle of charity and father of the poor. It aims to serve the most poor, abandoned, neglected, surrendered persons with disabilities. It is located in Montalban and currently houses 42 boys and subsidizes SPED classes for 45 indigent boys & girls with families from the nearby communities. (from Cottolengo Filipino's official FB page)

Everyone, including the training facilitators, enjoyed the activity. Of course, big thanks to Dr. Lito Maranan for heading the training. It was also nice to see how the head priest of Cottolengo, Fr. Stefan, supported the activity of the house parents.

Omituofo!
