Unilab Active Health's Tri United Series kick off

Once again, the UST College of Rehabilitation Sciences PT department was tapped by Unilab as official PT partner during the first leg of their Tri United Series held last April 14 (female category & relay) and 15 (male category). For this event, PT alumni Cathy and Meme joined the team. :)
I wanted to swim badly that day because (1) it was SOOOOO hot and (2) take a look at the calm sea and see if you can resist its invite...
Swimmers had to go around the floaters twice to complete the one kilometer swim which is followed by a 30 km bike and a 7 km run. If my memory serves me right, the fastest finisher in ALL categories clocked in at 1 hour 20 minutes ++.
I noticed that Unilab always chooses high-end places for the races they organize. This event was held at Playa Laiya Residential Resort in San Juan Batangas while the one before this was in Nuvali. I wonder where the next event in Subic will be. Looking forward!

To our PT alumni, if you want to volunteer for future Unilab Active Health events, kindly inform the office (4061611 local 8454 or 8455) by looking for Mam Che or any PT faculty member. We provide cryotherapy and stretching only. Watch out for announcements on future activities by following the UST CRS Alumni facebook page or twitter timeline (@UST_CRS_Alumni).
