TOKYO drifters

August 29, 2008

First day out in Tokyo. Got up early for the breakfast buffet. Yum yum, parang ngayon lang ako natutuo magbreakfast, hahaha!

Since malayo hotel nila Sir Donald from our hotel, we have to ride the train from Iidabashi to Ikebukuro's Sunshine City... Wow, whatta very busy district... Pero busiest daw is Shinjuku...

Nakakatuwa ang kanilang railway system, parang 4 or 5 na patong patong, iba pa jan yung subway... Nakakalito talaga as in! At hindi pa ganun kadali mag-ask ng directions since majority of Jap's don't speak/understand english...

Pero nakarating naman kami sa hotel nila Sir Donald and we deicded to go to the Aquarium ng Sunshine Bldg... Doon ang buong morning namin...

During the seal show, dko maintindihan what the host was saying to the crowd (in Nihonggo), pero i saw the little kids waving their hands sa kanya, so ako nakigaya ako, at tinawag nya ako!!! Yun pala, she was asking for volunteers from the crowd para magthrow ng ring sa neck nung seal... Hahaha, here's the video:

After we had lunch at Lotteria (Japan's version of Pinoy's Jollibee), we went to Meiji Temple... Sooooobrang ganda ng trees dun, sobrang peaceful. Anyone who feels so weary, maglakad ka lang dun going to the temple, goodness gagaan talaga loob mo at sobrang peaceful ng pakiramdam... Pero bago ka makarating sa temple, you have to walk like forever muna!!! :) At dito na nagsisimulang magreklamo ang aming mga paa... Pero sige pa rin...

We prayed at the temple... Take note, Shintoist po sa temple na ito, hindi Buddhist...

After the temple, mahaba habang lakaran ulit (at todo nagmamadali pa kasi baka daw magsara na) to Imperial Palace... Pagdating namin dun, di pala talaga sya open for public, so pinagtiyagaan na lang namin dungawin kung anuman ang makikita pero WALA!!! hahaha...

So on we go to Ginza for dinner.. Dami pwede pagpilian, but we decided to try Japan's local ramen!!! (Naruto: Itadakimasu!!!) Hehehe... Yum yum, dami serving...

Parang Greenbelt Makati yung area ng Ginza kasi dami designer shops... Natatawa lang kami kasi di namin alam kung may Pucci ba talaga, e halos katabi pa nun yung Gucci store.. Hahahaha..

The heavy rain poured at around 8:45pm. We called it a night!
