Pyro Olympics '08

Due to the unbearable trauma brought by last year's pyrolympics event at MOA, I promised myself to never put "ME" in a crowd like that ever again (unless Woodstock would re-launch!).

January 13 of last year was the day of final presentation for the 2nd World Pyro Olympics. Tickets for 150Php each only at pwede ka na umistambay sa San Miguel by the Bay area. Being the kuripot me, i opted not to buy the ticket kasi wala namang kaibahan yung nakatayo ka sa loob ng barricade nila kesa nakatayo ka sa labas nito. Marami nga, along Baywalk lang nanuod. Well, some of my friends say na maganda sa may ticket area because you are near the water kung saan makikita mo yung reflection ng fireworks. (I went sa MOA alone to watch the fireworks alone! because each and everyone in my barkada decided not to watch na lang for some reason. E ako naman, anak ako ng fireworks so kahit wala kasama, GO lang! Lucky me, i found two Calapenos na manunuod din, so sa kanila na lang ako jumoin for some time. Thanks JR & Mona.)

Traumatic ang uwian because there were no rides available mapa-FX man o jeep from MOA to any point of LUZON! Dyaske! And the Macapagal Avenue instantly turend into a parking lot! (Hala, ang kalsadang Php 1.1 billion, naging parking lot lang sa sobrang traffic! HAHA) No choice, we (as in 80% ng crowd na walang dalang car) walked from MOA to Taft Ave na para bang may rally sa dis-oras ng gabi!

I know this ticket is way too pricy than the one offered sa may One Esplanade, pero sometimes you have to pay some bucks for your own good na rin. At least i saved "ME" from another traumatic experience!

The night included Venezuela's and Italy's display. I liked Italy's show than the other. Sorry. Here's a little part of it.
